Why it matters

Legal strategy is only as strong as
the psychological clarity behind it

In high-conflict custody, divorce and care-and-protection cases, B.A.R.E provides family courts and legal practitioners with a reliable, single-source solution for complex family dynamics.

We bridge the gap between rigorous legal scrutiny and clinical expertise through a strict, dual-wing framework — combining forensic precision with therapeutic care.

One roof

Clinical / Counselling & Forensic Psychologists, Family Therapists and Co-Parenting Coaches, together

Our model brings the full range of expertise into a single coordinated team, so families are not handed between disconnected providers.

Co-parenting coaching

The dual-wing framework

Two pathways, one team

Families arrive with us in very different circumstances. Each pathway is structured around where a case begins — and both end in sustainable, long-term stability.

A
Pathway A

Forensic / Litigation Track

For high-conflict matters already within the legal system.

  • IntakeCase enters via court order or legal referral.
  • EvaluationForensic, clinical and counselling psychologists complete risk and parental capacity assessments.
  • ReportingFindings are submitted to the Family Court to guide custody decisions.
  • InterventionThe case transitions to the Restorative Wing (Family Therapists) and Empowerment Hub (Coaches) for court-mandated counselling and co-parenting education.

Pathway B

Therapeutic / Collaborative Track

For early intervention, before conflict escalates.

  • IntakeFamily enters voluntarily or via Collaborative Family Practice (CFP) referral.
  • AssessmentClinical psychologists conduct basic screenings to identify immediate therapeutic needs.
  • PsychotherapyCounselling and clinical psychologists and family therapists treat individual and systemic issues concurrently.
  • MaintenanceFamily coaches help transition the family out of clinical therapy into sustainable, long-term routines.
At a glance

Integrated client pathways

Path A · Court-mandated Forensic Risk Assessment → Court Reporting → Therapeutic Mandate
Path B · Voluntary Clinical Intake → Family Therapy → Sustainable Routines
⭑ Both tracks converge on the same destination — a family equipped to function independently, with conflict reduced and the child's welfare protected.
Working alongside legal practitioners and the family courts
For legal practitioners

A single point of contact for the whole matter

Rather than coordinating separate assessors, therapists and coaches, you work with one team that already shares a case formulation.

  • ✓Continuity of understanding. The clinicians delivering intervention are the ones who understand the assessment findings.
  • ✓Court-ready documentation. Reports written with the evidentiary requirements of family proceedings in mind.
  • ✓A clear handover point. Cases move from forensic evaluation into restorative work without losing momentum.
